ST. BEHANANS INDIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH

The St Behanan Indian Orthodox Church in Herefordshire was established from a desire in the minds of the Indian immigrants to the Herefordshire area in early 2020. They wanted a place to congregate and worship the almighty God in the tradition and practices of the Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church. Fr Mathew Abraham Palathinkal arrived there for a prayer meeting at the house of Chrisin Varughese Issac on 6/12/2022

and a second prayer meeting at the house of Liju Varughese on 17/01/23 following this he did the needful to enable the community to start worshipping with the first Holy Qurbana being celebrated by the diocesan bishop H.G Abraham Mar Stephanos on 28/01/2023. With the support and cooperation of all the faithful, it was possible to establish a congregation in the name of St Behanan in Herefordshire.
